nice waterproof boots January 24, 2008 I ordered these boots specifically b/c they were the only boots marked "waterproof" in the Sudini line. I wanted boots that could do the double duty of looking stylish while saving me from buying another pair of rain boots.
The openning is a bit tight but I am able to fit into them ok with tights or leggings. (I wear size 4-6, and my calves are not too thin nor too thick.) Besides, there is a elastic part that stretches out at the top of the opening that helps to fit better. The size of the boots felt true to size. The heels are moderate enough to walk around comfortable.

Bought these for Christmas for my wife. According to her they are nice, but the leather isn't "stretchy" enough to fit around her calves. They are meant for thinner legs. The leather is nice, but not supple and soft like some other boots.
Great boots, but how long will waterproof actually last? February 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been looking in the U.S. for a l-o-n-g time for a pair of fashionable, dressy, low-heeled waterproof leather tall boots to commute to work daily. I do not wish to wear heavy, ugly rubber clunkers that will do the job. You would think that with the long, cold snowy winters we have in New England, the manufacturers would know to put out various fashionable styles of weather-resistant products and they should be easy to find. Wrong! While there are plenty of fashionable, dressy, high-heeled leather boots on the U.S. market, they are never waterproof. So forget about the boots surviving the abuse of salt, water and snow for the better part of the winter. I first came across stylish waterproof leather boots when I used to visit Canada regularly at Christmas. Over there, they have an abundance of styles with waterproof leather to choose from. The Canadians know how to combat their snowy winters (why can't we?)! I had bought 3 pairs of waterproof leather boots thus far in Toronto, and each pair lasted me 4 to 5 years! I wore them daily in the winter, and I never had to worry about dipping my boots into deep puddles. When I saw the description of these boots online, I bought a pair of brown and a pair of black instantly. I am happy with the style, fit and love the waterproof feature! I was, however, surprised, to read from the tag when I opened the box that the waterproof has only a 6-month warranty. That info was not included in the product description online. The manufacturers of the Canadian boots I previously owned never had such a disclaimer, and my personal experience confirmed their waterproof effectiveness. I will have to wait and see how long these boots last. Will they just stop being waterproof on Day 181? In the meantime, I am enjoying these boots and keeping my fingers crossed for the waterproof longevity! This is the only reservation I have for rating this product a 4 as opposed to a 5.
Calves Too Tight January 22, 2008 The sole is good but booooooy are the calves tight. I got to the bottom of my calf and couldn't go any further and I am a thin person. The calves are not average on this style. I had to double check and see if it was marked narrow.
